One of the highlights of running this wee shop has to be opening the boxes of new stock that arrive
with the beginning of each season. Boxes of Spring/Summer delight have been arriving in recent weeks
and are now unpacked and on the site. We’ve picked a few new and exciting independent brands for
you to fall in love with. We think they are really special so here is a little bit about them.

Hello Simone

Hello Simone is a wonderful Parisienne brand who’s dresses we fell in love with. The story goes that each season little Simone wanders off & explores faraway places & when she returns to Paris she converts her adventures and imaginings into a unique clothing line. This season Simone has been to Africa & she brings back with her bright playful cotton dresses with the finest embroidery.

Kalinka Handknits

Kalinka take hand knitting to the next level with the highest quality yarns but in the most wonderful
colour combinations. These are heirloom pieces to be handed down & treasured but most importantly
they are very wearable and suitable for play. Each garment from the Spring/Summer season has been handcrafted in Bulgaria using 100% soft Pima cotton. This special yarn is known for its comfort and softness & is knitted with love & passion by the ‘Kalinka grannies’ who carry on centuries-old knitting tradition passed down through generations. If you love a hand knit like we do, then this is as good as it gets.

Macarons

In the style of the Pâtisserie, Macarons stands for colorful and exquisite children’s clothes. Macarons use only the finest organic and fair-trade merino wool and cotton so their pieces are incredibly soft and suitable for everyday use. Many of their clothes are reversible making them a hardworking basic in any little wardrobe. Macarons pieces are designed for the pleasure of children and parents alike. Carlota Barnabe

Carlota Barnabe is an ethical brand from Portugal who use the softest 100% cotton muslin in the most
glorious colour palate. The dungarees and romper that we have chosen are real stand out summer pieces
that can be layered or would look great on their own in the height of the summer.
